"In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there's nothin' you can't do, now you're in New York." - Alicia Keys

During last week's weekend, I went to New York 2 times: once Saturday to go and see the Broadway show Wicked with Yale, and once Sunday with Mathilde to do some sightseeing. It was a really great weekend and I really enjoyed the city.

NYC is really different from Paris. In NYC everything is so tall that you feel very small and almost invisible. To the point that it almost feels unbreathable during a hot day of summer like the one we had. Also, the architecture is so different from Paris, it feels very modern whereas Paris sometimes seems to be locked in the 19th century.

On Sunday we ended up walking 37km with Mathilde, which was way too much. I was literally dead for the next 3 days. We did: Central Union Station, 5th Avenue, the famous Apple Store, Central Park, the Metropolitan Opera, the Rockefeller Center, St Patrick church, the High Line, Little Island, the Flatiron Building, Washington Square Arch, NYU, the WTC and its memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building and finally the NYC Public Library. And in between all of these, we did quite a few shops and Starbucks to refresh ourselves of course. Finally, at the end of the day, we dined in a restaurant in Little Italy which was delicious.

Hope you will like the photos!

See ya! 🕺

  1. An insane amount of walking...the pictures alone exhaust me! IF you visit again, consider the Circle Line (funny name) Boat Tours....less walking and tremendous views from the water, especially at night with the lights.
